Satelltte Module

I just picked up a 2006 SL600. It does not have a satellite module, but as I understand it, one can be added to the head unit, which has the satellite button. My question is what year satellite modules will work. There are several on Ebay from a 2007 SL. Will these work on my 06?

Thanks for any help.

I searched through WIS and there is no official M-B document describing how to do it. This means that if your car is not born with satellite it is not pre-wired for it either.

You can properly shoehorn it in, but the cost/benefit makes it impractical, IMO. If you want satellite, go with an aftermarket solution.
