Hello From a Potential Newbie
I am starting down the path of looking for an early SL550. I have been reading up about the "challenges" particular to this model, but I am still not scared away.
I will be coming over from the classic car world as I currently have an E-Type Jaguar for my pleasure driving. The car is running great, but it is time for a change. I want to go more modern and I have always appreciated the long history of the SL, so here I am. I enjoy working on my own cars as much as my time will allow these days. This will be a whole different beast to my Jaguar restoration, but my aircraft maintenance background should stand me in good stead once I can get access to the diagnostic equipment.
Looking forward to learning more about these great cars.
