SL/R230: Power Trunk problem

Power Trunk problem
I just replaced the hydraulic pump on my SL. Everything works except for the trunk. Trunk will power open, but will not close.
Does anyone have any ideas about what the problem could be.

Are you sure this car has a power close? I didn't think it was an option. It has an auto release and soft close but I'm not aware of any with power close.

mine is not trunk assist
but i have had the trunk shocks and the latch replaced which included the sensor seal for the vacuum close
if it closes but wont seal then its a 2-400 job....buy the part in advance and have someone replace vs dealer ad hoc

I have a 2007 SL600. It comes with power trunk.........both to open & close.
I replaced the hydraulic pump myself........2 weeks ago.
Now, the roll over bar works..........the vario roof works.........the door locks work.........the trunk will power open, but will not close. When I press the trunk close button, the pump buzzes but the trunk does not open.
I think I may have missed something.........does anyone have any ideas.
