Clear Codes

I know I should and I'm going to buy a the C3 or C4. But will un-hooking both batteries clear the complete system? I did un-hook both for 24 hours only thing reset it seems is the Clock. I even still have my radio Presets. I took both Pos and Neg off both Batteries.

My experience has been that you will set several codes by disconnecting the batteries.

It didn't set any codes thank god, it didn't even loose radio presets with them both disconnected for well over 24 hours. Both Pos and Neg. side disconnected too. Can't figure that one out!

My codes showed up when I scanned with a Star C3--they didn't set any lights on the cluster. I suspect they may have cleared after several ignition cycles.
