linguatronic????
does anybody know much about this? Is it standard on the 2003SL? I can't find any info on mbusa.com, although a bunch of sites that talk about Euro-spec SL's mention it.
Is it just the radio or also the nav system and COMMAND?

Linguatronic is the european name for VCS or Voice Recognition.
In Europe everything is sold as single options [no packages like C2 or whatever you have in the US] and its all factory fiited. US cars are prewired for certain options such as phone and voice recognition which are fitted by the delivery center or the dealer in USA
I dont think VCS is standard on any of the US models, so I suspect its not standard on the SL for US markets
Its exactly the same technology as in current cars, so if MB allow it to be specified without COMAND on US cars, Im sure it will be same for SL. I'm pretty sure that (at a technical level) it will work with the Audio-30/Audio-50 etc
