SL/R230: CD Changer

CD Changer
So... My newly purchased 2003 SL500 has the OEM cd changer. I loaded up the cartridge with my 6 favorite cd's and put it in the changer. The command screen said it was loading, then went to "no cd", and the cartridge won't eject. Any advice on how to get my cd's back? Thanks.

I had a similar problem and if I remember rightly, press on the eject button and give it a few hard and quick hits on the center of the cartridge. I used the handle of a screwdriver with a piece of cloth to try and protect it. It worked for me.

Glad RoundTheBenz nailed it for you. I recall years ago actually seeing a Star DB bulletin on the subject. It actually recommended that the tech slap the side of the CD case after hitting the eject button.
