No personal knowledge to share but you may have the dreaded "Gas Tank Baffle" problem. See this post to get you started on possible fixes if that is what you have.

Good Luck,

Bob

Check out the posts in this thread here on MBWorld and these posts on Benzworld. You can also do a search on your own using the search pull down box on the opening page with different search words. Much has been written about fixes short of pulling the entire tank out. There is also the possibility that you may not have the loose baffle in the tank.

Good luck,

Bob

Do you have a clanging Noise coming from rear interior wall/fuel tank when car is moving?

Your tank has become defected and would normally need replacing.

Most places including main dealer would replace your fuel tank for well OVER A £2000.

Not to worry, for just £340, Just give me a ring, and I will get it fixed.

If you can't bring your car to me, I can come to you and fix it outside your home or work place.

Will travel up to 10ml to fix from SOUTH EAST LONDON. May go Extra miles for £1/ml.
