SL55 Wheel Fitment Question, 19"x10" and 19"x8.5"
Found a nice set of AMG wheels that have rears with 19"x10" ET28, and fronts with 19"x8.5" ET25. I referenced the R230 wheel fitment guide as attached, and it validates the 19"x10" ET28 rears but pairs them with 19"x8.5" ET28 (not ET25) fronts. Does anyone here have a recommendation for or against pairing the ET28 10" rears with ET25 8.5" fronts when it is recommended instead to get ET28 8.5" fronts? Also if the ET25 fronts work out, would you recommended doing 245/35R19 tires as the chart suggests or would somehow the 255/35R19 work with the fronts? I'm aiming for better looks then the turbine wheels on this 05' SL55 that are on the car now, but I don't want to lose performance or make the ride really rigid by upping the wheel sizes too much.

Offset of 25 vs. 28 is a 3mm difference (0.1") so that is insignificant and will work fine.
I run the 255/35-19 fronts and they fit with room to spare. 295/30-19 rear.
The picture shows the wheels & tires with a 10mm spacer the previous owner had on, and have been removed.
Can't comment on ride as these are the only wheels & tires I've driven on this car.

If you are still looking for wheels, I have a set of factory forged AMG 19's off of a 2009 SL63 in factory machined/charcoal paint finish.
Wheel Sizes:
8.5x19 ET30 Fronts - Condition 9.6/10 (no curb marks, basically look new)
9.5x19 ET31 Rears - Condition 8.5/10 (one curb mark each on outer edge)
Tires: Bridgestone Potenza M01 Mercedes spec
255/35ZR19 w/70% tread left
285/30ZR19 w/55% tread left
I bought them through a friend thinking they would fit my E350 but offset was wrong. They bolt on and look amazing but stick out a bit past my fenders. Now i know I need offsets around 48-52 for my model.
If interested I will get some good photos and figure out how to post them up.
