SL/R230: Headliner Removal

Headliner Removal
I've decided to tackle the replacement of the dreaded top lock cylinder on my 2005 SL500 vario roof. Following the instructions listed by others, I wrestled the roof to it's precarious position and propped it up appropriately. I'm told that there are a total of nine screws securing the headliner to the roof; three in the front, three on the left side and three on the right side.
Well, I got the three in the front removed easily, and the front-left and front-right side screws also, but for the life of me I can not see the other side screws. Obviously I cannot slide the headliner out to get to the top lock mechanism.
Any guidance (for an apparently blind guy) in locating the other screws. I'm stuck until I get some help.
