I noticed my power steering fluid color is a clear red, looks great but I thought it would be green like used in the ABC system. Do you think it was once flushed and replaced with another brand of fluid or is this just a dye change to distinguish the two systems in case of leakage?
The fluid is obviously the wrong fluid, should be Pentosin CHF11s, see page 342 from your owners manual.............................
What is the condition of the ABC Pentosin?? Might be a good time to change both systems and install a new 3 micron filter in the ABC reservoir. There are many posts on doing the ABC fluid change and since you will need 13 + liters to do the ABC, you could save a few bucks and add a couple of extra liters for the power steering system.
