SL/R230: Sat Nav Problem

Sat Nav Problem
Hi Guys,
2005 350SL 43000Mls
While out driving yesterday my sat - nav packed up, display saying Navigation not Available. I tried to eject the DVD from the unit in the boot (or should I say trunk) but it didn't come out.
I presume that its this that's at fault and so my question is can they be repaired or is it a new unit? Anyone else had the same issue?
By the way, after 9 years of ownership this is the first thing to go wrong so the car's not been too bad.

Hi - I eventually pulled my unit out and sent it here;

Cost was about £175.00 (not dollars)

Sat Nav Problem
My Navigation is on a separate DVD player located in the trunk and displayed on the Center Console, integrated with the audio, Sat Radio, in dash DVD and 6 CD Changer behind the driver seat. I've being able to eject it and clean it but still doesn't work.
Fumbling with the steering wheel controls it shows "NAV OFF" but don't know how or if can be turned "ON".
Regular radio, Sat Radio, in-dash DVD & CD Changer all work but not the NAV.
Anyone can help? 😟
