Hello! I am very new to the MB world and dove right in purchasing a classic. Absolutely love my car!! I was driving a Honda Accord for years before I purchased my car and just realized I cannot treat the cars the same. Learned a hard lesson last night.
This is my 3rd time doing this and I will never do it again. Driving with the tank on E. Did this last night and the car started puttering, shutting off and basically running like crap! It ran great up until last night so from what I read online thus far it probably sucked in a lot of crap. I do not have a mechanic yet (going to get one soon) however i did call a family friend who knows a lot about cars and fixed them. He suggested I get s fuel injector cleaner. I've looked up several and from what I'm seeing it's out of: Lucas, Chevron Techron and Sea Foam.
I'm praying and hopeful this is the immediate issue as I have not had any issues prior to running out of gas last night. Any suggestions on which injector to buy? Any other suggestions on maintenance? I would like to go to my mechanic with some knowledge.
