SL350 R230 license plate lamp holder removal
Hi
This is my first post .. Have just bought a 2006 facelift SL350 and
Want to upgrade the license plate bulbs to LEDs
I have purchased a pair of LEDs but they require the old lamp holders to be removed but the instructions are in German and I don't speak German so can anyone advise me how to access the old lamp holders and remove them ? Many thanks

2005 SL350
The lamp holders are a press fit into the trunk lid. You use a thin plastic wedge between the short sides of the black plastic holder and the metal of the trunk lid to pry them out. You don't even have to remove the screws from the lens cover.
