So many mixed reviews! Sl600 v sl63 v sl65

What I want is an unbiased answer..

-What car is more reliable?
-What car is hands down faster?
-best bang for the buck @ present pricing?

I can afford all 3 & want the most reliable & fastest choice. It seems that people keep going off on rants & pissing contests

Please help. I like 5 speed transmissions (600 & 65) as long as it's reliable (seems it is "bullet proof")

The ONLY reason I would consider the SL63 is for the transmission. I prefer the sound of a V12 personally. But the double clutch gearbox really makes that car a blast to drive.

Sl65 is without a doubt the fastest. You get the AMG make over and you pay the price!

SL600 with the AMG bumpers is what I have and am very satisfied with. No real maintance difference between the 600 and 65. From a pure value stand point the 600 is the winner hands down. Put a tune on it and your very close to a 65 but without LSD. Tranny is stout in both very minor differences. At the end of the day its what you find a deal on.

I cannot get past the bulbous nose on the new generation (2009 & up) I felt the same way about my Viper. After 2002 I thought the lines were not as appealing.

I personally think the nose on the 2009-2012 was the best, but the headlights swooping back were a minor detraction. The 2013-2016 is too blunt in the front... but the updated interior and the M157 engine makes up for it. Barely.

I guess that is what makes styling and car sales. I prefer the 2003-2008 lines and hated the nose on the 2009-2012. I thought they made a good styling move in 2013 by blunting the nose. By the way, I think you 2014 is a great looking car. Enjoy!
