sounds like a project, but considering the prices - easier to buy an actual black series???

oh, i thought you're talking about increasing power itself. Sorry, was a little tired when read the post.

Just to take off stuff and make the vehicle lighter of course it makes sense. Shouldn't be hard to do, because there's lots of stuff you can get rid of to make the car faster. After all it's about how much you're willing to do

now about handling idk, not that much of a suspension guy here, but woudn't be switching to coilovers would make it stiffer than ABC?

make more HP than 580, get a LSD diff. so the power hit the ground better on both wheels,, get long tube headers, solid size extra intercooler , bigger crank wheel to get more boost ,not smaller pulley compressor, it have more slip when less rubber belt touching ,, take out spare wheel, put lighter type batteri front and back,, but if you add black series kit,, you will gain some more weight than orginal.. would not touch the roof system.. a convertible good on good days is better to drive than a blackseries sl , not to big wheels or tires to wide, it steal alot hp

My vote is on the SL600 with widebody kit and some go fast goodies. You can always bump up to larger turbos for around 1,000 hp. Mine is around 700+ now on stock turbos with speedriven intercoolers/BOV's, downpipes, Black Series injectors, free flow exhaust, and all the coordinating ECU/TCU tunes. Not to mention, the sound is out of this world cool. This is what mine sounds like but with a little more turbo whistle. http://my.tv.sohu.com/us/175073037/61338869.shtml

I have an LSD on my full weight 65 and still am not even close to hooking on street tires. Less torque on the 55s, but for me, no hope without DRs.
