Help! Staggered tire setup with SDS?
Hello, I am wondering if anyone has ever dealt with a staggered tire setup on their r230 and if so how did they correct it? Currently running 235/30/20 on the front and 315/35/20 on the rear. I know the different size tires throws the ABS and ESP out of wack and is the problem I am currently having! Any information would be much appreciated or atleast if someone could point me in the right direction with someone to talk with! Thanks!! Also i do have access to a SDS machine!

Whenever you change tires for bigger ones the main concern is are you raising the sizes by same amount. As much as i remember that what's throwing the system off. Let's say you raised the fronts by x1.1 but the rears by x1.3 - now the sensors are reading different height level, and something else. Try to use this link to see where you put the size that doesn't fit. And what were the original tire sizes?

The tire sizes you're running makes the trick and the car looks more aggresive, but, of course, throws the sensors off Too much of a difference between front and rear - you're looking at 88mm height front and 110 rears (if i remember correctly). The sizes i use now are 245/35/20 (95mm height) front and 285/30/20 (99mm height) rears. You either need bigger tires front or smaller in the back.

P.S. - all r230 models (as much as i know) come in staggered style
