Traded my MY2007 CLK550 Cabriolet today for a MY2011 SL550. I've been wanting one for a while and finally decided to make it happen. Car has 43K and no record of transmission service, so that will be first on the list followed by an ABC fluid flush.
So far I'm really enjoying it. It does not "feel" as quick as the CLK550, even though it has the same engine/transmission and only a few hundred extra pounds of eight. But of course the ride, handling, comfort,m and amenities are beyond comparison. I took the SoftTop controller from the CLK and installed in on the SL (I couldn't live without that). Now I just need to hook up my Escort hard wire and I'm all set.
