2003 SL500
Question mod experiences

I am looking to mod my sl500 2003. Few items that I have considered:

ECU upgrade from powerchipgroup - Has anybody done this?

Air Filter upgrade and or use a sl55 air intake?

Exhaust upgrade - Anyone? and whom did you use and why?

sl55 tail lights

Renntech rear spoiler

Any changes in torgue and hp with any of these first 3 mods above?

Any advise or suggestions would be appreciated.

The SL55 is next, but while I wait, might as well have some fun with the SL500.

Thanks for your thoughts theboogers.

If you want a decent power hike, bring it to Brabus, they have a range of engine modifications to choose from to suit your budget

That range is basically two options: $3995 or $28,000.

However at too much of an extreme price tag and the ****y / arrogant salesmen to go with it.

I have a Kleemann car and I have driven the SL500 with the Kleemann super charger. They have lowered the price on the supercharger, you might want to look in to it.

What did the Kleemann supercharger put out in sense of hp. I know there is a supercharger available now for the sl500 at about 11gs, boasting hp of 500 and some change.

How did it drive?

You will feel a huge difference. If you do not drive the car hard you'll forget that you have a supercharger, but when you go for it you will definitely feel the power! The engine runs very smooth, the gear changes are normal, with the extra intercooler you will not have any overheating problems, basically for the price you can not go wrong. I have driven the normal sl500, there is no comparison as far as the power with a super charged one.

Thanks for the insight SLVRBLT43K.

It does seem that the kleemann supercharger for the power and price is the way to go.
