My drivers side headlight has suddenly decided to intermittently stop working. It just doesn't come on when the car is started. I am talking low beam here... The HID low beam and I get the check low beam error. Now this doesn't happen often...sometimes I can go days or weeks without the issue. And sometimes if I stop and restart the car or flick the headlight switch through different settings it will come back on...but not always. Very strange. Now the other strange part is that the parking light within the light keeps working even when the low beam is out. However the turn signal gives me the "fast blink" inside on the dash which means it's not working outside. And this happens only when the low beam doesn't work. Otherwise the turn signal works fine when the low beam does.

Hope that's not too confusing.

I was thinking the HID ballast could be going but I don't think that would affect the turn signal light.

Anyway...really at a loss here. Any help is appreciated!

maybe moisture issue....check if the headlamp cover has been totally closed
