If I were to put down a deposit for an SL500 today, how long would the wait be before I received shipment of my car?

SL500 should be readily available anywhere.

If you order one, usually 2-3 months in the U.S.

I ordered my 2004 SL500 on April 5th 2003 and took delivery on Oct 1st 2003. So it took just under 6 months to get the car with the exact options that I wanted.

I'm sure it's much faster than that now since the initial demand has died down quite a bit and there are a lot of used 2003 R230's available.

Of course, it also might depend on where you live and how easily the dealers in your area can get cars.

It does seem to matter where you are located and who your dealer is. I ordered my 04SL January 15th and just picked it up March 23th

I really like the Aegean Blue. The color looks so much better in person than in pictures. I think you were correct when saying it did not need the sport package. I only have 60 miles on the car so no problems as of yet. Hope to drive it this weekend.
