I don’t do a “repair service” on customer’s pump, I just sell complete, tested, ready to go units. As a guide I charge £400 plus next day shipping of £15 (around US$585 I think), to the UK.
I upgrade the software of my pumps to the latest, 06 48 version.
I test my units on my car and code them ( with a SDS diagnostic system) so they are plug and play for my buyers.
You really need a car to fully test them.
Obviously I am too far away to help except with advice, I would ask the repair service how they test the units and what guarantee / warranty they offer. I would also check what they will charge to return your unit if they say they cannot repair it.
I have a 2003 mercedes SL 500. My central locking won't work. The interior fuse (box) compartments are locked. I can't get to the fuses. How do I open the little compartment without breaking it? I tried to blow air in and no worky.
Any tricks please.

Thx
rick

Goto post #21 and look at the last picture. You can access the fuse panel behind the right seat without opening the storage cubbie. The panel on the front face of the cubbie is compression fitted and simply pops off giving access to the fuse panel.

Rudeney, any tips for troubleshooting the vacuum system for a leak? My 2005 SL500 fob stopped opening doors and trunk, changed batteries, no luck, also the lights flash when the button is pressed. I took apart the pump to see if the rotor was still intact, it is... I can hear the motor running but that's all it does. I also discovered the internal lock/unlock switch does not work either

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Try pulling the fuse for the PSE pump and see if that fixes it. If it does, it will stop working once it re-detects the leak. In that case, you need to find it. Some people like to use cigar smoke to find vacuum/compressed air leaks.

QUESTION RE PSE PUMP INTERCHANGE

Can a same year range w220 s500 PSE pump assy interchange with a R230 providing I can Star "new initialize" it?

FYI Door and trunk vacuum assemblies are cronic leakers. You check those along with a Mityvac leak down of all vac lines b4 buying a PSE pump.

No, a W220 PSE will not work in a R230.

Do you know what the problem is with your pump? If it’s the impeller it is a straightforward home fix if you have a soldering iron and an electric tyre pressure pump, and about £80 for the part.

Why do you need to have an electric tyre pressure pump?

Have a look at this, its what I followed when I repaired mine.

The pump is needed for its pressure gauge, he uses a foot pump but anything with a gauge will do.

Mercedes dealer price in UK is £725 (€814), “aftermarket” (with warranty) is £460 or £800, all on eBay.
Some Mercedes dealers charge more.
Take your choice!

Where can we find a layout of all the PSE pump hoses and the locks they control?

Has to be in WIS somewhere, but I can't find it, I'd like to read up on it too if anyone can send the path in WIS.

I have access to WIS but can't print anything. Print command ends with "no print service" found. I am a newbie to WIS.
Here is document ID: gf80.20-p-0006-01r that display different components.

I've never found a diagram on WIS. EPC gives you an idea, but it isn't 100% accurate. The door circuits are each individual (straight runs) as are the trunk and the fuel door. Central locking branches to each cubby, up to the console, then up to the dash and over to the glove box. The seat lines branch at some point, I think it comes up along the transmission tunnel and then tees off to each seat, but I'm not sure. I believe that cars with multicontour seats have an air reservoir at the front of the trunk or tucked in the left quarter panel and this is tee'd into the MKL line in the trunk.

I had that annoying problem at one point. The resolve was astonishingly simple. Sorry can't recall but you just have to tick a box somewhere.

Guys, not 100% sure, but I think the whole PSE box is vehicle customize for remote actuation...! I had the same issues with mine, so went to a junk yard, found a CL model and took the box for $20.00. Then opened and check the motor vanes, They were OK, then switched only the motor and everything started working OK. The pump pressure should be over 60 PSI.

This guide may help
