SL500 AMG 2003
sl500 r230 2002 Upgrade advice

when driving my car I always get the feeling its underperforming (4.9L V8 engine) and so Id like to get more HP from my current 306hp to lets say 380hp.
Besides ECU tuning,
Can you think of any mods for my sl500 r230 ?

I welcome all advice

to get that much power out of an SL500 you're going to have to add a supercharger kit, which come up for sale here used from time to time.

Either love the car for what it is or sell and get a 55/600/65. Don't waste your money or time trying to increase the power in your car.

My opinion is that the engine in my 2003 SL paired wth the 5 speed is one of the best combos Mbenz ever made. I had the same engine/tranny in a 2003 CLK 500 and drove the crap out of it. It's easy to get caught up in the "tuning" game, spend a bunch of money and not get much in return not to mention that you'll create a money pit on many different fronts. I speak from experience.
