Yeah, except for the fact that the 12v sockets in the car (passenger compartment and trunk) are both disconnected with the key off... so your charger won't do squat....

It might be worthwhile rewiring the socket directly to the batter (with a fuse of course)... there are also times I need to charge a laptop, shaver, etc, and it's a pain with no live 12v.

(My Audi has live 12v sockets, and is smart enough to turn them off if the battery gets low)

the charger plugs into a wire u connect to the battery permanently

this charger plugs into a wire, the wire is connected to the battery forever. so its easy to use, just plug in and ur done. i do not mean plug in to the cig socket.

Yeah the Battery Minder looks like a great product...saw a review of it recently on I think Two guys garage...You can permanty attach lead to your battery and just plug it in as needed...no fuss.
