In 4 hours of freeway driving, huh? Sounds about right. I drove once from San Diego to Sacramento with only 1 tank of gas (that's about 500 miles). Sadly was late evening and cold, so couldn't drive top down! but still that was a nice trip

I hit some traffic from time to time but averaged around 75-80 in between bottlenecks. I'm leaving my dad's house in the am and see how I do on the way back.

Well, the traffic was much lighter coming home so I managed to maintain a higher average speed. 26.3mpg was achieved on the return trip with not one issue. Also, I had the top down for at least 150 miles of the trip.
