Anyone have input on good options for Star Diagnostics tools? What are you using?

I prefer the "virtualized" system (runs under VMWARE), so I can run it on any computer. Some sellers call this the "external" format. For actual work on the car, I have an old Dell D630 in the garage that has an RS-232 port for the hardwired C3 mutiplexer. I prefer the hardwired over wifi as there are fewer issues with those units. Also, I run a copy of the same virtual image on my modern Lenovo Yoga for reference access to WIS, ASRA, EPC, etc. (no serial port, so no actual work on it)

I have found mrcartool.com has good prices. I bought from them through DHGATE (Chinese eBay type middleman). if you are really savvy, you can buy just the multiplexer hardware, and then find the software for free elsewhere. *******.com has lots of good info (they require a one-time donation to join).
