Hi all!


I`m a newbie to the SL`s and bought mine 2 days ago-2002 SL500.


Here`s my q; I had the engine oil level warning coming on 2 times. Reduce oil level it said. Sent it to MB, and they drained 2 litres.. measured manually.
Now the oil level check says "Add 1,5 litre" but the oil level is correct. Is this a correction that needs to be done to "reset" the electronic oil level measuring?

If the level is correct per the dipstick, then it's likely a bad oil level sensor.
