Combo radar, laser detectors w/ laser jammers.

Any of u guys have the Passport SRX, BellRX 75 plus or other remote system in ur car? I've used a V1 for many years but for my SL55 (I'll know for sure tomorrow at 9AM if I got the car I want in a swap), I'd like to have a concealed system with laser jamming. Pls let me know ur thoughts and experiences as well as where it is installed. Many thanks,

Pablo

Escort SRX

I have the Escort SRX and love it. Previous cars I used the Escort 8500 but, with the 600 I chose to build it in.

RennTech did the work and it took most of a day and charged for it. They built a bar and painted it behind the lower grill to mount the two laser diffusers and radar detector. The rear license plate has the laser diffuser attached to it. The speaker is just above the break pedal and is mounted behind some plastic so holes had to be cut to hear the warnings. The control unit is mounted in the center consul but, once I set it up, I haven't played with the options. The warning light is mounted just under the reset button between the tach and speedo and my mute button is mounted next to the ride height control button near the gear shift.

I've had a number of laser hits and the cops have just shaken their heads as I go by. The radar detecter is basically the 8500 which in my opinion is the best out there.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to reduce picture file sizes down enough to post here but, if you're interested, I can send some files to you via email.

I hope this helps...

I installed a passport 8500 with direct connect it is placed right above the rear view mirror. It works well. I have heard really good things about the valentine one, also.

I think the ideal system is the one Trimmer has installed, you can't beat it, but for less work, my was installed in 2 hours and it is clean.

This is a laser/radar detector, but not a jammer.

Good luck.
