Clear Front Marker Lights
Hey All,
I was wondering if anyone has had issues with replacing the front amber marker light lenses with clear ones? Also, I can't seem to find clear LED units; any suggestions? Thanks.

I've seen those LED side markers and they are crap. They look like the cheap Chinese garbage that they are. Note that US DOT laws require reflective yellow/amber side markers with yellow/amber bulbs. I know most jurisdictions don't target this, but some do. If anywhere would, I'd think Mass would.
If you want to be "somewhat" legal, you can get clear lenses with mirror-finished amber bulbs. At least at night, it doesn't scream out with white light, and during the day, it's all clear, so no "fried egg" look. I ran this on my CLK for years, but around here, they don't bother with clear marker lenses. At night, you couldn't tell since it was amber.

Point well taken Rodney. I did install the clear LED side markers on my old C Class with no police issues and it did coincide with the other LEDs that I replaced in the front end. I just may heed your advice.
