SL/R230: Spare Tire & Pump

Spare Tire & Pump
Bought a 2004 SL 55 AMG and there was no spare tire - actually there was absolutely nothing in the lower bay of the trunk. This was only one of the many things the previous owner didn't disclose.
I am looking to buy some parts (wheel etc.) on ebay but am not sure what?
Do the spare tires require the pump? Can anybody let me know what the care should have come with/
I appreciate the help.

spare tire
I could be wrong but I believe there is no spare on the sl55. My sl500 has one but it is a deflated blow it up as needed kind. Comes with pump and lug nut wrench. I think on yours they want you to use the fill & patch cans of fluid and fix puncture later.

The SL55 has a spare for an option.
It is a compact inflatable 18", as any smaller will not fit over the front brakes, but a 17" would work for the rear.
Here is an example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/87K-MERCEDES...xX~tyj&vxp=mtr
I have one in my wheel well, and an aftermarket 12V pump, in case of emergency. Hope to never use it.

spare tire
That's what my sl500 manual mentions as a fix too. I also carry a 5ft length of pipe to go on my lug wrench(handle to short) to aide in getting bolts loose. Best option is never have a flat!!!
