2007 sl 550
07 sl550 won't start or run
Looking for hints. My 07 sl550 won't start. Both batteries have been replaced and charged, relay and fuse have been replaced. Anyway to troubleshoot without the code or STAR repair module?

07 SL550 won't start or run
It won't turn over. Makes no noise either with KEYLESS GO or turning the key. Battery's are charged. All the auxillery lights come on when the key is turned, then shuts off...as if it is waiting for the starter to engage, then times out. The condition came about when the car was running then just stopped for no apparent reason. Fortunately the car was still parked. I can replace the cam and crank sensors, but from the forums, it appears the engine will still crank with bad sensors. I replaced the relay and fuse, yet nothing. It may be the SAM, but that's why the request for a hint.

Check voltages. Make sure you have 12.6v at rest and it does not drop below 11v when you try to start. If it's too low, then have the battery and alternator checked. Of course you could have a bad starter - that's easy enough to check with a voltmeter on its power leads while cranking.
