Newbie Question: Run Flat & Speed Limited to 40 KMH
Good morning and before I start, a HUGE thank you to all forum members. Your contributions helped me big time with buying a 2010 SL 350 and avoiding most newbie pitfalls. I was actually looking for a bigger engine than the 350, but all horror stories about the ABC put me off. I was the proud owner of a 1967 Citroën DS a few years ago (you know, the inventors of the ABC's grandfather, the hydro-pneumatic suspension ;-)) and lots of frustration with that old dame's hydraulics over the years made it easy to steer off Mercedes ABC, I guess.
Now, the question: Just out of a roundabout yesterday, I push the pedal and no acceleration. "Run Flat" was announced on the display next to "41 KMH" speed limitation. I went (limping at 41 KMH) to the dealership. They reset the whole thing and gave me some fluffy explanation about the Speed Limiter being engaged (it was not but didn't want to argue). They also checked tyre pressures. Nothing else since yesterday.
The only "unusual driving circumstances" I can think of are cold, almost-freezing weather and some rain.
Do I have gremlins in the electronics and is this something other users have experienced? Is there something bigger down the road that I should pre-empt? Thanks a lot for help.
