Electrical Voodoo

Drove up an icy mountain driveway and noticed "yield sign" light appear on the dash when the wheels slipped on the ice. Made it to the top after the car seemed to disengage the transmission briefly. I pulled into he garage and turned the car off, removed the key, and went into the house. Several minutes later I noticed the headlights were on and the cooler fan was racing wildly. The headlights were at different levels of brightness and the fan raced and slowed and then raced at full speed. All this with no key in the ignition. The only way I could stop this craziness was to disconnect the accessory (trunk) battery. I'll try connecting it back up in the AM but would like to hear some explanation about what this means. As it is, we're snowed in up in the North Georgia mountains.

To make things even more interesting, our house electrical power is also out.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Low voltage can cause all sorts of gremlins. I think the ESP light illuminating due to it engaging on the slick roads is unrelated.
