What do you make of the rumors regarding a, what I would consider, major facelift for 2005? I just ordered a 2004 SL500 and would be pretty upset with a major styling change so soon. The change would include the F1 style nose now used on the SLR. Is this just nonsense?

I believe that to be true for the SLK 2005 model but not the SL.

I beleive it's also true for the Sl-class, I remember one of the threads regarding one of the members ordering a 2005 Sl, and asked the salesmen of the facelift, big 10-4!

I've heard the same thing, F-1 nose is cmoing to an Sl near you in 05; I'm not to fond of it though.

I think the front end styling of the SL is already fussy enough - the way the hood meets the headlights and adding yet more will mess it up. Actually, coming to think the SL looks a bit girlie... and I don't think the aftermarket stuff makes it any better.
