i was just wondering if any of y'all noticed the fake wood used in the sl center console. i thought that the wood in mercedes vehicles were supposed to be REAL? anyone who owns a sl, notice the small compartment below the comand system, the door of the compartment is wood/plastic i think....is this true? or does mercedes use plastic/wood that i didn't know about?

The Wood in the center console is absolutely real.
I took delivery on a SL Launch Edition a few days ago, and I can confirm to you that there isn't a single piece of fake wood in the car.
