Purchase lit grille emblem
I've been looking for a LED Illuminated Grille Emblem (star) for a 2003 SL500. I've searched everywhere I can think of but no luck. If anyone could direct me to a vendor where I could buy one I'd be most appreciative.

Purchase lit grille emblem
Well I'm sorry to say that neither of the places you said I should check had an illuminated grill emblem (the star) that would fit my car. Is there any place else you can think of that might be able to help me out.
Is there anyone out there that knows where I might find a lit star for 2003 SL500. Please join in with your suggestions.

Turns out there isn't a factory available illuminated emblem for the R230, nor is there an aftermarket one designed specifically for the R230. Your options are to:
a) Purchase one of the same diameter (17cm) and have a custom shop retrofit it.
or
b) Send your current emblem & housing to a custom lighting company and have them custom install LED's. A good place to start would be: Oracle LED
