2004 SL500 main seal leakage..
I am looking some help or info regarding removing the transmission and install new main or crank seal, is there anything i should know before start working on it? I hve pulled engine and tranny before several times for other cars doing first time for SL500, if anyone have workshop manual or service manual that would be gr8 help. What should i look for, beside what else i need to replace or check, car has 92K miles on it. Thanks in advance.

I pulled the transmission on my CLK550. I did it on jack stands, which wasn't fun, but it's just wrench work. I'd suggest you get your own copy of WIS so you'll have all the steps and torque specs. YOuc an find it on eBay for $30 or less.
There is one critical step when re-mating the engine and transmission. Everything fits together like a glove. You will not (and MUST NOT) use the bell housing bolts to "pull it together". If it isn't a perfect tight machine fit, then you either don't have the torque converter properly aligned in the transmission fluid pump, or you don't have the torque converter and flex plate (i.e. flywheel) properly aligned.
