50 seems too low a number. I read on the Internet 550 or even closer to 1,000. I have one for sale with only 27,600 miles on it and in exceptional quality. Open to offers.

Two books on 230's (by Brian Long and Bernd Kohling) state that 75 were produced. Also noted in these books is that for 2004 MB produced 550 cars commemorating the Gullwing introduction. These cars were called "Edition 50."
I just got an '07 50th Anniversary Edition with 40k mi. Yours looks very nice. I just love the cognac interior.
I'm still looking for the rear shelf bag. Mine didn't come with one, so I'm not sure if the bag's tag was the only unique part or if the bag itself had any special markings. If it's only the tag and if someone could post a good image of it, I would appreciate it.
