R16 Wheels and Tires, please help!
There are too many potholes where I live so I want to reduce the size of my wheels from my current factory R18s to R16s (or at least R17s). What rims/tires could I get so that the overall diameter remains the same as factory? (As to avoid issues from the ABC and provide more cushion to protect the suspension from the potholes.

18*25.4+XXX*2*YY = D1,
New wheel + tire must have the same total diameter. Or at least close (say 10% or less).
There potentially another problem with your break calipers, which might not fit in a smaller wheel, but that I cannot help you with.

See attached. On tiresize.com they let you see the difference in size and everything else. The biggest problem for you will be the brake calipers, you'll have to confirm what diameter are they, because i'm not sure you can go that much down.
Pictures are as follows:
Front wheels, R16,
Rear wheels, R16,
Front wheels, R17,
Rear Wheels, R17.
The site doesn't show any size 16 tires that are able to match your current height. but on 17' there are 2 different sizes that match. Hope it helps.
Regards.
