2007 SL 550
Convertible top problem
2007 SL 550. When I attempt to close my convertible top, the front portion of the trunk where it latches, won't close completely on the passenger side. I have a 2 inch gap.

Out Of Control!!
You have a fault in the trunk closing system--find someone with MB DAS to diagnose the system, then you can take three or four weekends repairing!

No need for "DAS" at this point.
Is the tubular frame to which the trunk lid attaches bent? Does the top open/close in c. 20 seconds, or is it sluggish?
