2003 SL500 Is fuse f35 optional?

Hi there

I'm trying to troubleshoot a brake fault and noticed my #35 slot is empty (fuse chart says it should be 40A) Can anyone confirm if it is required or optional?

It's for the SBC hydraulic unit. I'd think it's required.

Thanks, Rudeney. Yes, the fuse chart says f35/40A should be there. In my car, both the fuse and fuse holder/receptacle are missing but the car was running fine for a while until I recently started getting the "Reduced Brake Effect" fault. I was hoping someone on the forum with a 2003-2006 (R320) SL500 could check under their hood and confirm...passenger side fuse box by the engine start battery.
