Transmission fluid and filter change. Technically, it's due at 40K mile (and really should be done every 40K miles), but I'd go ahead and start fresh. Also, if the tires are more than about 8 years old, new tires (regardless of tread wear).

If you are doing the transmission service (which is a good idea) ... AND if it has a 5 speed, you should replace the transmission electrical connection plug seal (oddly called "pilot bushing" by Mercedes, but often refereed to as "13 PIN CONNECTOR PLUG BUSH" ). The part number is 203 540 02 53 .
Also, I would look at the rear motor mount (bolts in between rear of transmission and crossmember) . This part rarely lasts longer than 40k miles (I replace them every 30K). When it starts to go, there is a subtle vibration that you feel in the seat and steering .
Cheers,
Chris
