Jimbo - please update your forum profile to include tour location (at least country) and add the model and year of R230 that you own. This will help a bunch.
To access the rear fuse panel, open the storage compartment behind the passenger seat. Look closely at the floor of it and you will see two slots with clips that need to be released to remove the panel.
