Welcome to the forum! Please take a moment to visit the User Control Panel and update your profile to include your car model and year, and your location (at least country). This information will then appear below your name and avatar on the left side panel next to each post you make. This will greatly help others to give you better information. If you are using the mobile version of the site, you will need to switch to the "full" version to get to the User Control Panel.

If your car is a MY2009 or later, it has Bluetooth hands-free built into its COMAND NTG 2.5 unit. If it's prior to MY2009, then you must have the cell phone interface installed. It was an expensive option and hit or miss if the original buyer/dealership ordered it. If you have it, you'll find a connector (or puck or phone cradle) in the center console. If you don't have that, then your options are to spend $1500-$2000 on parts to install the interface, or find an aftermarket solution. Both are becoming harder to find as these cars age.

As for the windscreen, yes, you can raise and lower the roof with it in place - raised or not.

New head unit, Command system, is more work than you might think. It requires special programming codes from MB. You should look into getting a puck to fit the phone in the car. There are sever threads here on them.

Yes, you an install and aftermarket radio. But the "local shop"? Well, it depends. Most of them won't touch MBZ cars because of the fiber optic audio. In reality, it's just an extra step of running some new wire to bypass the Bose or Harmon-Kardon amp
