Which car and which electronics?
Assuming you have an SL R230 the bottom tray just lifts out. That exposes the battery and some of the wiring. For other items, you will need to put the top into maintenance mode and use plug pullers or other interior tools to remove the clips holding the trim in place. It is quite the jigsaw puzzle but not too bad. There are several YouTube videos to describe it.

Thanks 57 staff. Yes sorry it is an R230 SL500. I've got a lot of gremlins in the car at the mo and i wanted to check the ecu and battery switch box & relays which are all under those carpets. I've managed to get them out today but it was a bit tricky. I hadn't put the boot onto maintenance mode! I think it'll be easier to get it back in now i know that.
Thanks again for reply
