Error coded from the Lower control module
Hi Guys,
SL500 R230 2004
So I managed to get my hands on a Snap on diagnostic machine today and have plugged it in, set it up for the car and pulled all the codes from all the modules. 17 modules in total. I managed to clear all of the codes from all the modules apart from the ones in the lower control module. It read the codes but when I tried to clear them it just says codes not cleared.
Any ideas please?
Thanks

The codes are as follows;
B1130
B1183
B1119
B1074
B1088
B1059
B1057
B1091
B1078
B1010
A lot of these appear to be CAN related according to the little description displayed. Have I missed the point here as I was thinking they should clear but maybe they are actual faults which can't be cleared?
Where is the location of the Lower Control Module?
Thanks

LCP is the center console panel, containing the mirror adjustment, vario roof switch, etc.
Here is a list of the codes and descriptions from SDS (Star Diagnosis):

If everything on it is working properly, it may be that your Snap-On tool is just not communicating with it properly. You will also notice the Snap-On tool reports some codes that don;t exist in the SDS list. This is not uncommon with 3rd party scan tools and is why SDS is the best tool to use on these cars.

So true, and when a newbie seeks a recommendation for a diagnostic tool I recommend getting a Foxwell NT510 Elite or a $300 - $450 Star Diagnosis solution from aliexpress.com.
