Armrest center console and seat switch questions
I've recently bought my SL and couldn't lock the car at first because the lower armrest tray would not latch and close fully, I then got a message on the dash reading "close center console". with the help of a pen I managed to push the armrest catch to the correct place and the lower compartment could now lock in place and I could lock the doors.
I have taken some photos of my catch, is there something wrong or missing here?
Also for the seat dial switch which I think is for lumber support, I removed it as my seat did not seem to do anything when I turned the dial and I found a connector not fitted. It may just be part of a standard loom and not used but does anyone know?

I managed to fix the armrest be making a tiny piece of plastic trim to prevent the catch from travelling too far over, this is what was preventing the armrest from latching. If you are interested I will take a photo and upload. In the meantime I have illustrated via a red dotted line.

2005 R 230 SL350 (M112 3.7). Sold the 1966 W113 230SL recently
Good one if that has fixed it. That double lock can be a pain to fix, as you can find on this forum.
As for that seat switch, if it is a single thumb wheel than that’s your lumbar support. No R230 came without that feature, as far as I know (others are equipped more elaborate).

You may have an air leak in the PSE system. Listen closely in a quiet area when you get in the car. Can you hear a hissing from either seat? Do you hear more than 4-5 thumps from the trunk? (PSE pump cycling). If you do there is a leak that affects the locks, trunk soft close and the lumbar seat dial not doing anything.
