SL/R230: missing tab now what ?

missing tab now what ?
I've been looking for a R230 SL and found a few I like. BUT......most have one of those small tabs on rear deck missing. Is there a problem with just leaving it off (beside aesthetics) ? or are replacements available ?

No issue with driving the car with missing flaps. It is aesthetic.
Replacement requires buying the whole panel, which is ~$1000 new, and hard to find used.
Your call on what they are worth to your ego.

There are several posts in the subject of those tabs. I think someone was making them with a 3 D PRINTER AT A REASONABLE Price. Search the forum and I’m sure you will find info

if you do print the flap, it will require upholstery to match. Let us know how this works out.
