Rear windscreen fiber ripped-How to repair?
While cleaning the windscreen fiber I accidentally ripped the bottom right where it connects to the frame. It is a stretchy very thin fiber, put in sort of like a window screen. I have tried to get the rubber round tube out of the groove but no success yet. The part that goes vertical (when in up position) is a tougher material and is fine. Have any of you ever replaced the lower material? I notice those on ebay are very expensive and may not be much better than mine.

Right forum. Perhaps you do not have the screen on your cars. I believe the rear window is called a windscreen in other parts of the world.

Oh, I see... you mean the flip up wind breaker (or whatever it’s called) behind the seats. I read on a German forum that they have great difficulty finding a repair shop for it since the one that did it, gave up. Probably a hard trade to find..

I have a complete screen sitting in the spare room. It was at home when my 2004 was rear ended during a road trip. Never saw the car again and the screen has been waiting to go on EBay.
It's in very good condition, no rips or tears.
Make me an offer if you're interested, it should go to a good home.
