Fiber optics

Hello, I have no audio from my radio , checked fuses 57,77,66 all look good screen display is fine but cant hear radio or play cds. This is a 2003 sl500
A little back story. After audio quit i could hear what sounded like the cd player cycling disk. This noise eventually stopped. When i pull the fiber optic connection from the cd player i can see it flash red once when i turn on the head unit. I feel like theres no power to the cd player. Is there another fuse to check? Where is the gateway fuse and amplifier on this car. Any help is very much apprecited.
Thank you
Jeff

if you suspect the CD changer is bad and not propagating the fiber signals, get a bypass adapter and plug it into the fiber connector in place of the CDC.

thanks, this was my original approach , bought a bypass from amazon but it doesn't fit the male end of my fiber optic plug that goes into the back of the player. does anyone know where to purchase this? the ones i see online are all the same and not like mine

you may have to take the connector apart and refit the fiber into the loop connector. The plug-in connectors for MOST and D2B are different, but if you take them apart, the actual fiber ends themselves are identical.
