roof problem
hello from Spain i have a 2006 sl 500 export version when trying to open roof yesterday only the boot opened dashboard indicator says in
operation but nothing happening upon closing boot the roof did not seem to be tight in place small gap left can anyone help

Your best bet is to pull codes from the roof controller. A generic OBDII scanner won't do that - you need a specialized tool. MBZ's SDS (Star Diagnosis) is the best choice and a "Chinese clone" unit can be bought for under $500, pre-installed on a (used) laptop. There are also some less capable and less expensive hand-held units like the iCarsoft i980 and MBII, and the Autel MD802 Elite.
